Five Ways to Earn Money This New Year

Tuesday

The new year is often a time when people struggle to make ends meet yet many people will be unaware of the world of opportunities that can be accessed by using the Internet. This article details five methods that can boost the monthly income and give people some breathing space financially.

Surveys

While surveys won't make people rich, they are a good way of earning some additional income. When choosing a company find one that has good reviews and that is well-established.

Ideally, it is best to look out for companies that have a no minimum or low minimum payout level as otherwise it can be difficult to make enough money to even reach the payout.

Also look out for companies that pay in Amazon vouchers. This might not seem ideal for some people but as Amazon now sell household goods and pet food and pet care items, the vouchers are useful for covering the cost of items you'd usually have to pay for, and the vouchers are great for using as presents or buying gifts with as well.

Mystery Shopping

Just about everyone goes to the supermarket, the bank or for the occasional meal out so why not get paid for it? People can't expect to make a fortune with this opportunity as the work is offered depending on a person's profile and can be inconsistent. However, even when work isn't coming in thick and fast, it is easy to make an extra £50 a month.

Opportunities include visits to hairdressers, supermarkets, banks, fast food chains, pubs etc. Mystery shoppers often get a budget, which means provided that your assignment is carried out properly, you can get your meals, haircuts and supermarkets bills covered.

Market Research

It might not be a lot of people's idea of fun, but it can pay an extra £30 - £50 a day. You'll need a car, a mobile, a laptop, and a thick skin, but it is a good way of earning some extra cash.

Forums

People can get paid for contributing to forums. While it is unlikely you'll earn enough to pay the mortgage, you could eventually earn enough to cover a couple of direct debits a month or even the food bill, if you work hard at it.

Focus Groups

Many companies require feedback on their products before they are made available for sale and they'll often get feedback by holding focus groups. You'll need a car and be prepared to travel to venues, however, some focus groups are held online.

Participants can expect to earn £30 £100 for a few hours' contribution.
